How Man Utd replaces Rasmus HojlundMan Utd’s internal Hojlund alternativeIn the pipelineAmorim’s own Sarah: Man pushing to sign “European best player” for £67 million

Ah, it’s rasmus hojlund. Manchester United’s No. 9 has been able to buy little goals recently, and Dane has been struggling with its promising debut campaign that ended as the club’s leading scorer in all competitions.

The 22-year-old appeared to have revived confidence before an international break after scoring a penalty before beating the 21-game duck in a 3-0 victory at Leicester City and registering an assist against Real Sociedad in the Europa League.

Later, although Reuben Amorim, he won the net for his country with Portugal and made the decision to drop the £64 million man on the bench to face Nottingham Forest last week.

The 6-foot-4 speedster then wilted once more after returning to the starting lineup with Manchester City over the weekend.

This misery, which has only scored three Premier League goals this season, underscoring the need for proper exchanges by adding new signatures and promoting young talents within the company.

How Man Utd replaces Rasmus Hojlund

With the Red Devils active against Lyon on Thursday night, Amorim continues with Hozilund and, taking into account his record in the competition, the 85,000-pound marksman has won the net five times on the continent.

That said, the Portuguese coach may tend to bring Joshua Zilky back from the middle despite Dutchman’s typical role in the 10 berths.

But like Hojlund, the £36.5 million signature only scored three league goals in 2024/25 – only six in all aspects – Amorim could be destroying the fact that 17-year-old superstar Chido Obi is not eligible to appear in Europe.

That omission came in the belief that Obi, who signed from Arsenal last summer, is not yet ready for senior involvement.

The Danish teenager looked lively with these short cameos – especially against Fulham in the FA Cup, he approached a score twice – he is still waiting to get off the mark under the Amorim clock.

There’s unquestionable hype surrounding a player who scored seven times in United’s FA Youth Cup run, but Obi isn’t the only eye-catching striker the Red Devils are currently brewing at Carrington.

Man Utd’s internal Hojlund alternative

Obi – who holds a record of most goals scored at the U18 Premier League level – continues to excite the unified persuasive one, but he is not the only teenager centre to steal recent headlines.

In the pipeline

Pipeline Series Football Fancust aims to reveal the best young players in World Football.

Certainly, Adam Lawrence’s Under-18 side scored six goals in that devastating defeat in a 13-1 victory over rival Leeds United over the weekend, along with 18-year-old Victor Musa.

Captain on the side of the day, Spanish-born England Youth International led the line brilliantly after performing a simply prolific show from the middle and then proved to be a handful for the backline of the visit.

Towering left footer – in a similar mold to Hozilund – Musa showed the full array of his finishing skills that day, choking up a handful of finishes on the rebound while regularly cutting from the right side for a destructive effect.

The bunch’s pick was undoubtedly the teenager’s fourth goal. He went from the right wing to a central position, then made a pleasant effort towards the house, producing a great finish on the roof of the net for the fifth in the game. Even the striker’s sixth goal was a strike when he skillfully beat the ball to his chest before defeating the house from close range after he skillfully beaten the chest.

While hampered by last year’s injury, Musa has recently returned with the bang, as was apparent against Leeds, scoring 11 goals in just 14 games in the Under-18 Premier League and contributed three more assists.

The involvement of the first team may not have been his way yet, but it will not take long for him to prove that it is too difficult for Amorim and his coaching staff to ignore after performing such a statement.

Former Sports CP bosses have already promoted things like Obi and Harry’s accumulation in recent months, so why not throw another upstart into the mix?
