With Andre Onana set to be on a preseason tour through an injury at Miss Manchester United, Ineos is reportedly to step up interest in signing a £17 million alternative.
Onana gets damaged too early
In his first summer under Reuben Amorim, Onana was one of many players hoping to put him behind last season, and would have ultimately convinced his new manager that he was enough to maintain his place. The injury was struck at the worst before the former Milan man even received the opportunity to hand over his verdict to Amorim.
In the summer when Manchester United saw them tied to movements like Emiliano Martinez and Marco Carnesecchi, Onana could have made it on his side for some amount of money. But ultimately, his old Trafford location is now more at risk than ever.
The worse news for goalkeepers is that Ineos has not hesitated to spend much of this summer so far. You can also use the presence of the following expenditures to welcome another shot stopper.
Before that, of course, Brian Mbeumo appears to have been set to arrive at a deal worth £70 million from Brentford. The impressive winger joins Matheus Cunha to help change the frontline that he often wanted last season.
But it’s not just the duo who can hand over the task of turning things around in Old Trafford. The report suggests that Manchester United are currently poised to step up their move to sign Benjamin Sesco. RB Leipzig striker was destined for the Premier League for a while, but was able to move his big money in the end.
The arrival of the Serbs ended the United offensive overhaul and allowed them to pay attention to Onana’s replacement.
Man Utd strengthens interest in Lammens
According to Talksport, Ineos and Manchester United will raise interest in signing Royal Antwerp Value for around £17 million this summer. The 23-year-old Shotstopper is an ideal candidate to replace Onana and has already spoken about Old Trafford’s interests in the past.

According to Scout Jacek Kulig, Lammens enjoyed their last “great season.” If his previous interviews were something to spend, the Belgians weren’t very convincing to join Manchester United this summer.
