Manchester United failed to impress last season and will not play football overseas next season. Reuben Amorim’s side finished 15th in the Premier League and lost to Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa League final.
nevertheless…
Still, Man United was moving with malicious intentions in the summer transfer window, winning the Wolverhampton Wanderers’ advance Mateus Cunha race before aiming for Brentford’s Talisman Brian Mbeumo.
The 25-year-old Mbeumo scored 20 league goals last year. Many teams have registered interest, but the Cameroonian reportedly told the bees that Old Trafford is the only destination he has in mind if he leaves GTECH this summer.
It’s a great expression of the unbreakable pull of the theatre amid a curious party with Arsenal, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur.
But will the impact be enough to convince Viktor Gyoker?
Latest Viktor Gyokeres to Man Utd
As soon as Amorim was confirmed last fall, rumors related to his final move to Manchester emerged.
These rumors still continue, but reluctance to commit to the move comes as Arsenal is following his signature as well, as he is reluctant to commit to the move has come as a byproduct of last season’s struggle.
After playing under the wings of Amorim in the sport, Gyokeres’ skill set is injected with a natural grasp of how United is currently trying to play. He’ll be perfect, no doubt.
However, as the Swedish striker is 27 years old, it’s understandable that he wants to play at the highest level and make the most of his Prime Year.
Still, United is not out of the equation. The offside makes it clear that it’s only a matter of time until Gyoker completes his big move – and the Red Devils remain very much in the race.

However, as Arsenal was considered a favorite, it was Ineos’ tolerance to not identify an alternative, and discussions began about the transfer of the senses of the previous Premier League.
Man Utd will take part in an alternative race for Gyoker
Spanish reports suggest Man United took part in the race for Al Ali striker Ivan Tony, who left Brentford to join the Saudi Arabian professional league in a £40 million deal last summer.
In fact, the English outfit has already made proposals to tables worth 305 million euros (£30 million), which could lead Amorim to secure a bargain for the Premier League-backed frontman.
There is also a discussion going on between United and the 29-year-old aide, and Old Trafford’s sense is that a sensible signature can be completed in the coming weeks.
What Ivan Toney brings to Man Utd
With Rasmus Hojlund set to leave Manchester after a rather awful years, United will have to desperately sign a centre forward who will provide and maintain a strong, prolific presence.
Former Brentford superstar Tony certainly arrived with a reputation for carrying such qualities.
Toney’s 2023/24 campaign was smashed down by a long suspension, but he still chipped in with four goals and two assists in the Premier League, which was back in January.
And the previous term, the Three Lions star, of course, shows the ability to throw along with the best strikers the Premier League had to offer. Namely, Erling Haaland and Harry Kane of Tottenham.

In fact, Tony’s physicality and integrity led Arsenal’s Declan Rice to declare that he “like Harry Kane.”
When he made a deal with Brentford in 2022/23, Tony scored 20 goals in the league, but according to Sofa Scole, he got 12 big opportunities for his teammates.
We all know Kane’s qualities as creators, influence matches in many ways, and are far from the majority of strikers competing around the world.
According to FBREF, the Bayern Munich star was ranked in the top 6% of European position peers last season, in the top 6% of progressive passes and in the top 12% of shot-making actions per 90.
Plus, Tony is not a striker who relies heavily on his pace, so while he stares at the arrival of his 30th birthday, there is every sense that he can emulate his fellow brother Kane in producing elite-level performances over the coming years.
There is also the issue of his proven success in the Premier League. This is something Gyoker still doesn’t meet (in fact, Sportster hasn’t even competed in one of Europe’s top five leagues yet, and he’s two years older than Tony).
Tony, of course, went on a lucrative payday at the expense of stepping into the Gulf region from European football and playing at the highest level on the surface.
But he was sharp, okay, scoring 30 times in 44 matches for Al Ali. Additionally, Thomas Touchel was not discouraged last month to call the £411k striker to England’s obligations, making an interesting comment on the view he is still respected.
Here is a proven, powerful and prolific forward who has earned praise in the past for his “world-class” skills by manager Thomas Frank.
United could do something even worse, and if it proves Gyoker stays out of reach, Toney might be the perfect alternative. In fact, this Cane-esque star might be a perfect better choice.
