The latest on United’s new attacker huntWhy United’s latest targets are perfect alongside Watkins? He finishes like an RVP: Man Utd creates a “amazing” £67M.

Manchester United’s attempt to strengthen the frontline this summer has already been successful, and they have already made two major additions to the first team.

Bryan Mbeumo is the latest addition by boss Ruben Amorim, who has finally completed a £71 million move to Old Trafford after weeks of speculation over his potential switch.

He joined Mateus Cunha to move northwest after the Brazilian took part in the £62.5 million move from Wolverhampton Wanderers at the start of the window.

However, despite the large amount of money already being spent this summer, the club is still planning a new talisman move to help its sides seeking success in the Premier League next season.

That doesn’t take away the fact that other attackers are still being pursued either, and could add even more depth after the arrival of the aforementioned duo.

The latest on United’s new attacker hunt

Over the past few days, United have made the move for Bologna star Ricardo Orsolini and have called his representatives directly about potential moves this summer.

Their interest at the 28-year-old is little surprising given that they have given them a 15 goal record in their final Serie A campaign of just 30, and averaged all other games to score goals.

However, according to journalist Sebastian Vidal, he is not currently the only player on their list of nominees to defend trade in Italy.

He claims that an internal meeting has been held over a contract to land the 28-year-old star who has registered 15 goals and assists throughout 2024/25.

His post also confirms that he has already spoken with Joshua Zilkie about a potential move to Old Trafford into this window, with a price tag of £43.5 million being discussed.

Why United’s latest targets are perfect alongside Watkins?

Despite interest in Ndoye, United is currently working to land other talents in the final third, with Aston Villa star Ollie Watkins also on the radar.

It has been recently reported that the Red Devils have given a new talk for Unai Emery about their contract to land the 29-year-old striker, who scored 17 goals in all competitions last season.

However, any transaction could cost a fee in the £60 million region. This brings the club’s summer spending to just £200 million.

On the other hand, it may seem like a large transfer fee. It is a side to the experienced Premier League amulets you need to succeed.

It’s one thing to be able to score on his own, but he offers the possibility of relying on players around him and eager to find the back of the net at Old Trafford.

Ndoye could prove to be the perfect player to support Watkins in his potential quest with his underlying statistics, which highlight the creative talent he currently has.

Labeled as “Danger” by one analyst, the Bologna Star registered 5.5 progressive carrys per 90, of which 2.1 came into the opposition 18-yard box.

He also has an impressive skill set that notched 1.6 successful take-ons per 90, draws 4.2 fouls per 90, and is a constant threat to the opposition backline.

Ndoye’s talent is further reflected in the tally of 1.2 key passes per 90, of which 1.1 are also included in the opposition box, and then he has the tool to hand over Watkins the chance to crave in the attacking area.

£43.5 million may be a hefty investment in another wide player, but Ndoye has shown that he holds a bag of talent and that he will only improve in the coming years.

If he can join the side alongside Watkins and offer him an important opportunity, it is another great signature for Amorim and will greatly help him in search of success at Old Trafford.
