Manchester United attacker Brian Mbeumo is already working on his next contract for the club and is trying to convince Carlos Baleva to join the club.
The 21-year-old Brighton midfielder has been linked with Manchester United, with the Red Devils hoping to secure his contract in the coming months.
It is likely to cost him a significant amount of money. Manchester United may need to break their transfer record to get a deal done.
The Sun reports that Mbeumo is keen to link up with the 21-year-old at Old Trafford and is trying to persuade him to join Manchester United. Baleba is like a little brother to Mbeumo and it will be interesting to see if he can convince the player to move to Old Trafford.
Manchester United need Carlos Baleva
Manchester United need a quality midfielder like Baleva, who can add physicality, defensive cover, technical ability and drive out wide. He has done very well for the Seagulls and is capable of paying bigger clubs as well.
Manchester United have not been able to dominate the midfield battle and signing the 21-year-old will definitely help them. The Red Devils need a ball carrier like him who can push up the pitch. He will be able to form quality partnerships with players like Koby Mainu.
Baleba would be a surefire deal.
Valeva averaged 3.3 progressive passes, 1.4 progressive carries, 2.4 tackles, 1.5 interceptions, 1.5 blocks and 1.7 clearances per 90 minutes last year. He has all the tools to develop into a complete midfielder.
Brighton’s midfielder is very young and will only develop with coaching and experience. Joining a top club could lead to his further development. Manchester United have been successful in developing young players and they could play a role in his development.
