Manchester United and West Ham United are reportedly between clubs watching in the race for the potential transfer of Brighton goalkeeper Carl Rushworth.
The 23-year-old shotstopper has never played a competitive game at the senior level in Brighton, but was impressed by the few loan spells that left the club.
Rushworth could move this summer, and it appears that England Under 21 International is likely looking for new challenges due to lack of opportunities in Brighton.
See below as Talksport’s Alex Crook claims that Man Utd and West Ham could both be his potential suitors…
Rushworth doesn’t seem to be ready to be a regular starter for any of these clubs, but Crook says it could help fill these clubs’ homemade allocations.
From Karl Rushworth to Manchester United or West Ham?
Rushworth can be United’s wise signature, fair, as they want Andre Onana’s competition, who they struggle with at goal.
It certainly needs to be thought up more as the Red Devils are trying to change that position or at least keep Onana holding on to where he started.
West Ham, on the other hand, might also be better off thinking about his position. Perhaps you will need young blood at London Stadium this summer.
Rushworth is currently on loan in Hull City, but previously had impressive spells such as Swansea City and Lincoln City.
He was leaving Brighton this summer without a minute playing Premier League football.
