Manchester United do not want to sell Koby Mainu. football insider.
Mainu has struggled to establish himself in Manchester United’s starting XI, but the Red Devils rate the young England international midfielder highly and believe he is a big part of their future.
Journalist Pete O’Rourke said: “It’s going to take a lot to change Man United’s stance. United seriously don’t want to let him go.”
“They blocked him during the summer and their stance hasn’t changed in January.
“Mainou has been unhappy with his lack of first-team appearances under Amorim this season, but Man United have had injuries in midfield and Mainu is yet to return to the team.
“If Bruno Fernandes or Casemiro are out due to injury or suspension, Mainu would obviously be a replacement in their team.
“United have full plans to retain Koby Mainu because they feel he still has a role to play for them as they aim to finish as high as possible in the Premier League table this season and qualify for Europe, whether it’s in the top four or the top six.”
