    • National League Double on Tuesday

All European elites may have gaped two weeks apart for an international break in March, but there is an eye-catching National League action night on the cards.

Looks like this fight at both ends of the table, there’s a very important five-tier battle on the card on Tuesday night.

For those who want to stick with mid-week flapping, we took a quick look at two of the most appealing National League betting tips.

19:45 FC Halifax vs Dargenham & Red Bridge

Halifax may have suffered playoff frustration last season, but the hosts on Tuesday show no signs of a hangover this time. Chris Millington’s men continue to receive a string of praise and enjoy what has become a real purple patch. Finally on the weekend, put another dominant display and they cruise towards a 3-0 runaway with Sutton, and the Yorkshire-based outfit sniffs the opportunity to put another marker here. In fact, Halifax, which started March with a 2-1 victory over Forest Green, scored each of their previous three National League appearances with a collective score of 6-1. Undefeated on all six outings in the past six, Millington side has also gained a reputation for his successful expansion in his hometown. In a 1-0 victory over Yeovil last seen at Shaylanding, the Bruce scored 10 points from their final four National League showdowns in Yorkshire.

Deigenham and Redbridge endure what they’ve endured the national league crisis since the New Year opened and suddenly find themselves at the heart of the relegation scrap. A trip to Yorkshire on Tuesday night, and the goal difference is outside the drop zone, Lewis Young’s side continues to show some obvious issues. The Duggars took another worrying performance over the weekend as they fell into a 3-1 loss at home against Tamworth, collecting one point from their previous four National League appearances. With March in a further 3-1 defeat at the hands of Boston United, mid-week guests were unable to win one of the last 13 consecutive five-tier appearances. Similarly, Dagenham & Redbridge recorded the only National League victory on the trip since returning in September.

19:45 Altrincham vs Wealdstone

Altrincham may have a strong aim this season to punch another playoff ticket, but the Robbins have endured what has become an expanded rut. The Manchester-based outfit has another worrying performance over the weekend as they fell into a 2-1 defeat at home against Aldershot, desperately sought a crucial National League boost here. However, due to recent issues, when a 3-0 drumming was highlighted at Rochdale’s hands on March 11, they lost each of their previous three appearances with a total score of 7-2. In fact, Altrincham, who claimed a 2-1 victory in York City at the beginning of the month, lost each of the five other showdowns against the National League opposition. Getting out of the playoff spot, the hosts on Tuesday show a rather obvious defensive struggle. It’s worth highlighting. The Robbins have conceded seven goals in the final three matchups at Moss Lane in all competitions.

Wealdstone may have signed in February with a great victory in three matches, but the stone is mostly back on Earth. Despite being an astonishing late comeback with Eastlee in the weekend, Neil Gibson’s men scored one point from their previous three National League appearances as they eventually stolen a 3-3 stalemate in the home soil. Tuesday’s guest, suffering 4-1 drumming against Rochdale and Tamworth at the beginning of the month, showed his concerns on his back. Shipped surprisingly 11 goals in one small rut of three matches, Wealdstone failed to record only clean sheets from any of the previous 14 consecutive appearances across all competitions. A similar result is expected as the Royals watch each of their final six outings and both teams find the net.

Altrincham vs Wealdstone Betting Tip: Alex Newby always scores @12/5
