Marco Betzecki, the second fastest in San Marino Motoug at the end of Friday, points out one particular improvement in 2025 compared to last season.
Of course, the Italians joined Aprilia from 2024-25 after the difficult 2024 MotoGP season, which was riding on the Ducati desmocecic last year.
Bezzecchi was pleased that due to the comparison track grip between the two circuits, he was able to be competitive with the Misano, who felt the bike was very different in Barcelona a week ago.
“The bike behaviour isn’t that bad,” Marco Betzecki said after practice at Misano.
“Of course, grip levels are like another planet, so it’s quite different from Montmelo, but the bike is on track.”
Aprilia Racing Rider explained that it can use the rear tire grip better than 2024.
“We still need to adjust a lot. As usual – Friday only, but I couldn’t use the rear grip because it was very competitive with the rear tires last year. So this is important to me.”
Bezzecchi added that both soft compound or medium compound rear tires offer comparable performance in terms of race pacing.
“Of course, both tires can work very well,” he said.
“Of course, just for time attacks, the software is perfectly good and normal, but both tires are on track when it comes to pace.
“The behavior of a bike with different tires is slightly different, especially with high grip.”
