Marco Betzekki “lost words” as Chaos erupted on the Kota Motogup grid, and many riders fled to the pits for a spare bike just minutes before the race began.

Mark Marquez caused an escape after deeming the truck too dry for wet tires, causing confusion as others followed.

However, from the 13th, Bezzecchi chose to put it – it is not known whether leaving will be a penalty.

“I didn’t know what to do.”

“It was weird! I was on the grid so honestly I didn’t know what to do. And a lot of riders ran away and saw the bike, he said.

“I was scared that if I turned my bike off or left, I would be able to take a penalty so I didn’t know what to do.

“We waited until we saw people say they could leave the grid from the direction of the race.

“Then I was pretty calm and relaxed. I switched my bike and went back to the box.”

The unprecedented scene led to bikes, riders, team members and grid guests desperately returning to the pits, ultimately forcing the direction of the race to delay the start of safety grounds.

Rebola: “Regulations need to be revised”

It was then revealed that many riders, including Marquez, had misunderstood the ride-through penalty they would have received to leave the grid.

Massimoribora, CEO of Aprilia Racing, called for clearer regulations to prevent similar disruptions in the future.

“As for what happened in the beginning, regulations need to be revised to prevent the chaos situation at the start of the race, because they didn’t make a good show, let alone disrupt the audience,” he said.

Betzekki returns to 6th place and fights

Despite losing position on the restart and dropping on the 14th, Betzekki had a tough weekend behind him by charging to sixth on the checkered flag.

“I’m pretty pleased with this race,” he said. “It was clearly a very complicated weekend and our starting position adjusted us a bit, and the second half of the race was particularly positive.

“I started to feel more and more physically and emotionally on the bike. I often overtake and brake precisely. My pace has been consistently improving and I was able to make up for many positions.

“When I saw me rapping at great times, I really started to enjoy it. They were able to play fifth, so it’s a shame they shortened the race by one lap.”

Ribora praised Betzekki’s fighting spirit after a difficult weekend.

“It was great to see his speed in the race on a weekend that was a bit complicated for Marco due to some of our mistakes.

“Marco was able to confirm and conclusively overcome his qualities as a fighter jet and get up to his feet.

“In three races, Marco has consistently demonstrated the rate of unpaid payments, even if we still haven’t enjoyed our full potential. In any case, we know that this is all part of the process.”

Savadori has earned its first MotoGP point since 2023

It was also a memorable race for the Aspria Test Rider Lorenzo Savadori. He scored his first MotoGP points since Assen 2023, where he finished 15th.

“We took a big step, so I’m happy with the race,” Sabadri said. “It was a very difficult weekend and constantly changing, but we had a good race pace and most importantly, what we tested gave us a pretty clear direction.

“In any case, these are the factors that we need to check again during our upcoming private tests at Misano. It was a good race. We fought, and we also managed to tackle a bit of speed and performance.

Martin expected to return to Qatar.

Rivola has his fingers crossed by world champion Martin, who joined Kota as an audience, to make his long-awaited Aprilia race debut in Qatar.

“It was great to have Jorge in the garage with us. It was definitely an extra source of motivation. Hopefully, he is worthy of Qatar and finally we can see him riding in Aprilia.”

Kota, along with former rider Maverick Vinals, marked Aprilia’s final Grand Prix victory and one year anniversary of Ducati’s recent defeat.
