Mark Cuban has been heavily after another dramatic day, due to the organization of the Dallas Mavericks.
It appears that Nico Harrison cannot leave his own way. The Dallas Mavericks general manager held a press conference to try and fix the relationship with the fans, but it didn’t work.
Harrison and the Mavericks have locked out many media members from press conferences where cameras are not allowed. The decision to hold a secret briefing was branded as “embarrassment.”
Details later became clear, and Nico Harrison doubled his decision to trade Luka Donsic.
He insisted that he had no regrets about trade and was not afraid of being fired.
The Dallas Mavericks’ process for making decisions to trade Luka Doncic is under great scrutiny.
Team executives around the league were unaware of this trade and learned that the Dallas Mavericks couldn’t get any more in return.
Brian Windhorst branded it as “cheating.” The Mavericks did not get Austin Reeves in exchange for Luka Donsic along with Anthony Davis.
Former Mavericks owner Mark Cuba tried to stop trade. He later recounted a brief conversation with Nico Harrison, where he learned of the move and criticized him for his “lack of attention” to Luka Donsic himself.
On each ESPN, during media briefings, Harrison was asked why Maverick didn’t consult Cuba in advance or why he didn’t consult with the team’s legendary Dark Nowicki.
He closed the question and claimed he knew best. “First of all, no one really knew about this deal.
“It was very quiet, but you can’t look for advice from people who are not in the building by certain standards.
“They don’t intend to understand what their team is going through every day.”
Mark Cuban responded to Nico Harrison’s comments and submitted a strong statement directly in response.
He is dissatisfied with the lack of respect displayed in Dallas Mavericks legend Dark Nowicki.
Cuban’s response was a bargain for Nico Harrison and a rallying cry for the Dallas Mavericks fanbase to gather for a play-in-tournament game with the Sacramento Kings. )
He writes: “Dark is the Dallas Mavericks. Then now and forever. No one should forget that.
“Tomorrow night, 15 people will wear Mavericks uniforms. They will do everything they can to win. For themselves, each other, and the fans.
“Our squad has arrested their ass to fight through incredible adversity. They have my respect and support. My I am supposed to be a MAVS fan.
“I always love and cheer for everyone who wears our uniforms. I promise that my heart and soul will win tomorrow night, and in all seasons of the future, whether I’m in the stands, in front of the TV, and in all plays online.
“That will never change. I know the fans are upset, but don’t get mad at the players. I will support them. I will raise roots for them.
The Cuban word is needed as Nico Harrison’s press conference opened the wounds at Donsic’s exit ahead of the important game. If they lose, the Mavericks season is over.
