Pecco Bagnaia can defeat Mark Marquez of Qatar.
Bagnaia returned to the title fight after winning the American Motogup in Texas and took advantage of his factory Ducati teammate Marquez as he fell from the lead.
Grecini’s Alex Marquez is ahead of the ranking after three rounds after an incredible series with a P2 finish.
However, the next round was in Qatar, with Bagnaia winning a year ago. It’s a track that’s expected to suit him more than Marquez.
Pecco Bagnaia is ready, he’s back.”
TNT Sports’ Michael Laverty praised Bagnaia.
“He beat Alex for the first time this year, so it will boost his confidence.
“He’s ready. He has a sense towards the front. He can stop the bike like last year.
“He couldn’t do that in Thailand or Argentina. He seemed to miss a bit of entry speed, but now he’s back.”
Bagnaia’s first victory in 2025 reminded me of the talent that transformed him into a back-to-back MotoGP champion.
“This is a big deal for Pecco to get back to where he belongs,” Silven Gintri said of his victory in America.
“He pushed the mark, attacked him, and he was under pressure, and it’s all part of the race.
“A great job from Pecco.”
Bagnaia has a great opportunity to take a further blow in Qatar.
He’s 12 points from championship leader Alex Marquez. Mark is one point of his brother.
“When I see how Pecco rides, I love seeing how he likes to roll in the middle of the corner, especially at right-handed speed,” Laverty explained.
“Think of the triple right behind Qatar’s sector 3: it is Pecco’s territory.
“I think he’s in a position to defeat Mark head-on for the first time this year.
“It changes everything in terms of Pecco’s confidence and his momentum going to Europe.”
After Qatar, the 2025 MotoGP calendar heads to Jerez, Le Mans and Silverstone.
