MotoGP Championship leader Marc Marquez says Alex Marquez is “very strong in my weaknesses,” which has led to 15 races victory at the Catalonian Grand Prix.
The factory Ducati riders enjoyed their golden runs from the Aragon Grand Prix to the Hungarian round.
That winning streak followed 15 races in the Catalonian Grand Prix Sprint as Alex Marquez crashed from the lead.
However, after Alex Marquez rebounded at the 24-lap Grand Prix on Sunday, recording his second Grand Prix victory of the season, the 8th place 37-point weekend was snatched by him.
All weekend, the Grecini Rider was slightly faster than the age of 32. He explained that this advantage came from Mark Marquez becoming stronger in weaker places.
“He’s very strong in my weaknesses. It’s the corners of those (right) especially 3 turns 3, 13, 14, 9 turns,” he said.
“He was riding in a very good way. It was smooth. The bike wasn’t moving. I was behind him, at the same speed, but I was fighting the bike.
“When this happens, it is related to riding style, not bikes.
“So he’s riding better at those points. I was trying to compensate at the left corner, but that was the three left corners where I was able to recover some gap.”

Mark Marquez resigned to be humiliated by Alex Marquez on Saturday before Gresini Ryder’s crash.
At the Grand Prix, he said he gave up towards the end after his brother pushed him into some errors.
“I already thought on Thursday that Alex would be the rider to take down,” he added.
“He is second in the championship and he rides in a very good way, especially here in Catalonia, where he won Moto3, twice in Moto2 and now he wins in MotoGP.
“I tried. I tried everything. I was at the limit on the last lap.
“But when there were more or less five laps left, I made a mistake on turn 7 and another lap made a mistake on turn 10.
“And I gave up. It’s true that today, Alex was faster than us.
“Even yesterday, he crashed, but on the circuit where we struggle a little more than usual, we were close to the guy at the top.”
With the victory of Alex Marquez, Mark Marquez guaranteed he would have to wait at least until the Japanese Grand Prix at the end of September to get his first chance to seal the 2025 title.
