As if the Los Angeles needed more injuries in the postseason within a week.
Brock Stewart will be out for the rest of the season, and Bursdahl Graterol will again be able to get another injury to one player this year with Illinois Kirby Yates and Michael Kopech and Will Smith, who will nurse the fractures with his thrower, but the can get another injury to one player with the result.

The lineup for Friday was released before the 3-2 victory over the Seattle Mariners. Max Mancey was nowhere to be seen. The team calls the illness a “lower body problem,” but it doesn’t seem to keep Muncie out for a long time.
Further reports show that it appears to be a leg bruise based on the hit-by pitch from the previous week. To calm the nerves of those supporting the young boys, Muncie was seen taking a ground ball on the field during a pre-game session.
That’s no secret. Muncie means a lot to the lineup and the team in general. His work ability is important, and riding the bass sets the tone and table of his teammates in a real way.
At this point this year, Muncie is likely doing some maintenance on her body in preparation for the stretch run that begins Tuesday in Los Angeles. If Friday’s contest was important in terms of ranking, there’s a chance Muncie would have been there.
Luckily, the team has the ability to put players to rest, given that all the NL West Division titles are sewn in.
With two games remaining in the regular season, the wildcard round opponents remain a mystery. Heading for action on Saturday, the Cincinnati Reds and the crumbling New York Mets sit on the same 82-78 record. Terry Francona’s ball club controls its own destiny as the Reds hold a tiebreaker above the Mets.
The typical team in this race heads to Los Angeles to begin three best series at Stadium. The winner of that series will move to the NLDS to square it along with the Philadelphia Phillies or the Milwaukee Brewers.
