The Los Angeles ‘ third base hand Max Mancy is currently one of the team’s hottest batsmen, in stark contrast to the first month and a half of the season when he struggled to produce.

In Muncy’s first 150 plate appearance in 2025, he hit .190 with .599 OPS and one home run.
Muncie’s early season slump led to speculation that the will inevitably trade their third base hand at the summer deadline. Many fans were beginning to lose faith in Muncie, but the were 34 years old and trusted that his track record would eventually return.
Muncy is currently hit with 1,250 home runs, 51 RBIs and .829 OPS on the season. Since May 31, Muncy has recorded three games with 6 plus RBI, three multi-home running games, two games with 7 plus RBI, two games with multiple 3 plus run home runs, and three games with two grand slams.
There is no guarantee that the will not trade for a 3base hand this summer, but Muncie has made it clear that rumors about his future won’t bother him.
“No. At this point in my career, no. If I was younger, it would definitely be in my head,” he told Bill Plunkett on the Orange County Register. “At this point I’ve done a lot. I was able to do almost everything in a uniform. That’s very special to me. Obviously, I’ve made it very clear that I want to retire as a , but that’s not always in your hands.
