Arsenal expects to sign at least one attacker this summer, with Alexander Isaac being considered one of their targets. However, recent developments make it more likely that his Newcastle teammate will move to north London.
After five seasons without a trophy, Arsenal is determined to get things right in the 2025-26 season. And to do this, we need to strengthen Mikel Arteta’s team. Martin Zubimendi is expected to arrive from Real Sociedad, but there is also a desire to bring in new strikers and the rest of the wingers as well.
Isaac is the target of striker Arsenal’s dream, but the deal is unlikely given that he has no plans to entertain the offer in Newcastle. But that may not be the case for Anthony Gordon, who is also on the Gunners radar.
Summer moves focusing on Anthony Gordon’s Arsenal in Newcastle
Speaking to the Football Insider (via Football 365), former scout Mick Brown detailed Arsenal’s interest in Gordon.
“Arsenal is about to bolster a lot. We talked about Martinelli. When he leaves, we want to bring someone better than him. There are a few names on the radar.
“They looked at him and looked at his situation if he became available. Newcastle has a bit of uncertainty about them due to their financial situation. If they can provide him with a lot of money, Newcastle may have to decide whether the money he needs to bring him is worth it to the team and whether it is worth it to the team.”
“But he’s still young, so there’s a reason they’ve seen him for a while.”
Gordon is a key player in Newcastle, but he’s likely to consider selling him at Isaac. Arsenal could be properly placed, but they may have to face competition from Liverpool.
