Transfer News expert Fabrizio Romano says Julio Enciso is set up for today’s medical care before his transfer to Chelsea owner Blueco.
The Brighton midfielder is expected to join Strasbourg, which holds the same ownership as Chelsea first.
But in the long run, it appears that Enciso is considered Chelsea’s signature, as reported by Athletic last night.
As Romano posted about Enciso, preparing to get medical tests in London today, see below for the latest details on this story…
“Gulio Enciso, on his way to London today, for medical examinations as a new Blueco player. Immediately travel to Strasbourg and Chelsea until June 2031,” an Italian journalist wrote on X.
Julio Enciso could become Chelsea’s future superstar
Enciso has shown many promises in Brighton and was also impressed with his loan at Ipswichtown last season.
The 21-year-old can play as a midfielder in the central offensive or wide-open. It will be interesting to see how he continues to develop for years to come.
It would probably be fair to say that despite the spark of quality of his time in the Premier League up until now, Enciso still doesn’t seem ready to play regularly for Chelsea.
Therefore, it may be wise for him to spend time in League One with Strasbourg before he links with the Blues later.
Chelsea has another signature from Brighton
Chelsea’s current ownership is not able to get enough signatures from Brighton!
Over the past few years, we’ve seen Marc Cucurella, Moises Caiceco, Robert Sanchez and Joao Pedro move between two clubs.
Chelsea also hired Graham Potter from the Seagulls at one point, but his stay as CFC manager became rather short-lived.
Chelsea hopes Enciso can prove another wise acquisition from Brighton in the long run.
