It’s the time set for UFC Rising Star Paddy Pimblett, set in the biggest battle of his career with former Bellator champion and UFC title challenger Michael Chandler. Their lightweight battle, scheduled for five rounds, will take place on Saturday, April 12th at UFC 314 from Kaseya Center in Miami.
The 30-year-old Pinblett slowly built himself up to this point, but there’s no doubt that Chandler (23-9 MMA, 2-4 UFC) (particularly a finish or impressive performance) will make him a genuine UFC star and drive him into title contests at 155 pounds.
Former Cage Warriors champion Pinblett (22-3 MMA, 6-0 UFC) has not experienced defeat in six UFC appearances since his debut in 2021.
Since joining the UFC, Chandler has been living up to his own hype that he is an all-action fighter. Chandler has five Fight Night bonuses in six UFC appearances. He recently lost a five-round unanimous decision last November against Charles Oliveira.
