Veteran Man TT racer Michael Lutter has been reported to be “stable” in the hospital after crashing on the final lap of Friday’s Super Win Race.
Bathams Racing Rider, who made his TT debut in 1994, has returned to the Isle of Man to compete again at this year’s event.
However, the 53-year-old Rutter chose to reduce the competition only to the Super Twin class.
He finished 10th in the opening Super Win race at Yamaha, but crashed on the final lap of Friday’s contest for his class at the 31st milestone.
Rutter was taken to Nobles Hospital for a check, but was reported by Bathams on Friday night as “conscious, breathing and stable.”
“Today, on the third and final lap of the Super Win Race on Man TT Island, Batams AJN Racing Rider Michael Latter fell on the 31st milestone.”
“We can make sure that the rutter is conscious and breathing and that he is in stable condition.
“He is currently undergoing scans and observations at Noble hospital to determine whether he may or may not have one.
“More details will continue.
“On the other hand, we would like to thank all the former and medical staff at the site who cared for Michael, as well as the paramedics and medical staff at Noble Hospital.”
Rutter was intended to scale back his own race exploits with TT to better support rider Craig Neve’s campaign in other classes.
However, a crash at 200 Northwest excluded Neve from the event.
Jamie Kringle was drafted as a last-minute replacement for the Batamus Racing Team to rob Neve’s place.
His best results for the event so far were in 17th place in the opening Superbike TT on Monday.
The 2025 TT is scheduled to end with the Senior TT finale on Saturday, but overnight rain this morning and forecast showers have already pushed back the schedule at least two hours.
