Following the 2024-25 season, big man Jaxel Lendeborg has decided to enter the transfer portal. The 22-year-old played two seasons at the University of Alabama Bylamingham University.

As the number one player on the transfer portal, Lendeborg has committed to Michigan. However, Rendeborg is still undergoing the 2025 draft process. He has time to go back to college and decide whether he wants to take his talent to the next level. Adam Finkelstein is the director of scouting at 247Sports. Finkelstein reported that Yaxel Lendeborg is a “threat” to spin his commitment to Michigan and go to the NBA.

Yaxel Lendeborg began his career at Arizona Western before his junior and senior seasons with UAB. He moved on to playing for the Blazers before playing two seasons for Matador. Lendeborg’s talent was fully displayed at UAB. In back-to-back seasons, he averaged double doubles for UAB. From 2024-25, the 22-year-old averaged 17.7 points, 11.4 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1.7 steel and 1.8 blocks per game.

Yaxel Lendeborg participated in the NBA Draft Combine this week, and was able to go out. During the filming drill, he made 69% of his total field goals. It was the 10th best mark at this year’s combine. Additionally, the Lendeborg measures with shoes at 6 feet 10 and has a wingspan of 7 feet 4 feet. Rendeborg is projected to be a first-round pick, delayed in June.

In the court, Lendeborg has all the skills of a modern-day big man. He can rebound, pass, handle basketball and shoot. Lendeborg’s only knock is his age. He will be 23 before the 2025-26 season begins. Some rookies come to the NBA at age 19. However, Lendeborg is projected to be his first round pick in June. If Yaxel Lendeborg wants to stay in college, he must decide by May 28th. Otherwise, he will remain in the NBA draft and bring his talent to the pros.
