The LA Lakers will need to be tightened in the offseason as restrictions are revealed in the NBA playoffs.
There was no discussion about the elimination of the LA Lakers in the NBA playoffs, but the Minnesota Timberwolves deserved a 4-1 series victory.
And already, the Lakers’ big offseason has been on the lookout for, with general manager Rob Perinka Farm being about the team’s needs.
Clearly to everyone who witnessed a playoff series loss, the Lakers are in desperate need of a new center, and Perinka has stated that this will become the team’s number one priority in the offseason.
Who is that? Several names have already been proposed, including two players currently competing in the semi-finals of the conference.
Speaking about Lakeshow Postcast, Lakers expert Mike Bresnahan ran the rules on a list of large potentially available men.
He explained that Star Nas Reid of the Minnesota Timberwolves and Miles Turner of the Indiana Pacers Center are his preferred options.
Turner will be an unlimited free agent this summer, but Lead has a $15 million player option that will allow him to enter the market and ensure he has better deals.
Bresnahan explained:
“Miles Turner, he’s made $20 million this year. He’s still going, he’ll be in the second round with Indiana. He’s kind of like what Rob (Perinka) was talking about.
“Rob didn’t mention it by name (but) he’s a center that can protect the rims and widen the corners. It’s not a threat to Rob, but he can do that.
“Naz Reed, we’ve seen a lot of him in this past round. He got his $15 million player option. He might opt out of it and re-sign with Minnesota.
“We saw his versatility on the clear display. He can block shots and hit three people.”
Reid’s participation in the Lakers would be a twist after this latest series, but if he opts out, he is expected to attract active attention from multiple teams, and it makes sense that it will be considered in LA.

Both Miles Turner and Naz Reid compete at a high level in their respective teams’ NBA playoffs and have not yet played much basketball before they enter into their own future decisions.
The data provided via Sofascore reflects impressive performance so far, with both big men scoring above 50% in field goal efficiency.
Naz Reid is fatal from behind the arc, earning 50% of the three, with Turner contributing a very impressive 16.8 points per game.
Both players provide the Lakers with physical threats and rim protection, with Turner posting notable 2.2 blocks per game in the opening series.
Searching for Lakers players is not limited to free agents. They also explore the trade market, but among the potential stars that are available, Turner and Reid stand out as solid options.
