The future of Greek freaks in Milwaukee is seriously suspected. Rachel Nichols explains why one of the Bucks’ decisions could have an impact on what happens next.

Giannis Antetokounmpo won the Milwaukee Bucks in their first NBA Championship in the half-century of 2021. His departure from the franchise didn’t look like a real possibility so far.

After another unfortunate first round exit in the playoffs, rumors of Giannis’ trade rose. Paul George may not think that Antetocomo will be leaving, but many reports say it is not.

The San Antonio Spurs are touted as a potential destination, and Brian Windhorst linked the Golden State Warriors to the former two-time MVP move.

No matter what happens, experts seem to think that a potential move will see Giannis leave the Eastern Congress.

The Bucks traded Julou Holiday on Damian Lillard’s contract, but only did he join the Boston Celtics to win the championship. Rachel Nichols believes this will affect the team’s approach.

“I’ve seen a lot of things floating around about what they’re saying to him at meetings,” Nichols said. “Hey Giannis, stay east. You never know, see what happened this year.

“I don’t think they’re going to deal with him east. I think they saw it explode at Jrue Holiday.

“I don’t think we can trade Jrue Holiday and win the NBA title and win the next city and then put Giannis in the Eastern Conference.

“It’s not something they want to do to give birth to a man who is emotionally connected to your city, and tossing him over and over again in the year.

“And by the way, they don’t really need to make some wrench decisions. The best offer for Giannis will come from the Western Conference anyway.”

One of the most discussed NBA topics is the weaknesses of the East compared to the Western Conference. Many of the league’s biggest superstars play in the West.

Nicola Jokic, Shay Gilgauss Alexander, LeBron James, Stephen Curry and Luca Donsic are all part of the Western Conference Team.

On the contrary, Giannis was the only consistent superstar alongside Jason Tatum on the other side. Joel Embiid was injured too much, and Jalen Branson and Tyrese Halliburton just arrived.

If Greek freaks also go west, this imbalance will only grow. The Bucks may not want to place him on another team that they have to face four times in a season, but that may not be ideal for the NBA.
