The strange case of Max Muncie’s struggle continues to be a hot button issue for the fan base.
Muncie wasn’t an average hit player. Due to his career, he is only .226 batters. That being said, he is usually an on-base machine. For his career, he holds an OBP of .350.
Muncie is currently struggling with the plates. He hit just .186 in 102 at-bats. He has .311 OBP with one home run and seven RBIs. Known for being a power hitter, Muncie went to 28 games without hitting a home run.
Muncie recently began wearing prescription glasses after a recent diagnosis of astigmatism in her right eye. He hopes this change will help him turn the corner.

When he turns 35 in August, he wonders how long he will be registered as an automatic starter within the franchise. He is a very loyal player and was the one who came up with some clutch hits and moments during his tenure with the .
In a way, Muncie is also the child of the posters of the huge developmental skills that the cultivated during their Andrew Friedman days. Muncie was an afterthought to athletics before LA boarded the ship. Since then he has become two All-Stars, two World Series champions and one of the league’s outstanding third baseman.
MLB Insider Bob Knightgale recently spoke with Doug McCain of the Nation about the future of franchise Muncie. He appears to think Muncy’s $10 million option will be taken up considering the cost and respect Muncy has within his team.
“I think (I think he’s back next season), so picking up $10 million is easy,” Knight Engale said. “They just do it, play it with their ears and see what happens after the end of 2026. He loves it there. They love him.
If Muncy continues to move on the plate, it’s fascinating to see what the are doing to find some kind of production. Nolan Arenado is still on the trade bloc, but the have not expressed interest in the 10-time Gold Glover. Prospect Alex Freeland is also playing very well for Oklahoma City’s Triple A affiliate.
