The Los Angeles were linked with Nolan Arenado throughout the offseason. This is primarily a less subtle hint from the All-Star third baseman, but he preferred to trade with the defending champion.

The trade rumors first began when Arenado posted a series of photos on his Instagram, along with the song ” Blue” by Los Angeles rapper Kendrick Lamar. Fans quickly received Arenado’s song choice as a clue to his preferred trade destination.
The St. Louis Cardinals have revealed that the team wants to trade 10 Gold Glove winners. The deal between the Cardinals and the Houston Astros was ready to pass until Arenado used his non-trade clause to dismantle the trade.
In a recent conversation with Doug McKain of Nation, MLB Insider Bob Nightengale provided the latest updates on Arenado.
“The Cardinals still want to keep him moving,” Knight Engale said. “I think Arenado will move at some point. Muncie or if that happens, Arenado will do a cart wheel to go to his hometown of LA. He goes to Houston and refuses. (About his contract).”
The have expressed their commitment to Max Muncie, which is likely why the defending champions are not welcoming Arenado with open arms. The possibility that Arenado will come to LA looks slim, but it seems certain he moved before the deadline.
