Veteran All-Star Reliever Craig Kimbrell has signed with the Houston Astros, according to ESPN’s Jeff Pasan. He has signed a major league contract.

Kimbrel, 37, has made only one big league appearance this season, pitching scoreless innings with the Atlanta Braves. Now he will be joining the Astros in postseason races.
Kimbrell is a nine-time All-Star and one-time World Series champion as a member of the 2018 Boston Red Sox team that beat the Los Angeles . Throughout his 16-year career, Kimbrel played for eight teams: the Braves, San Diego Padres, Red Sox, Chicago Cubs, Chicago White Sox, , Philadelphia Phillies and Baltimore Oriole.
Last year, along with the Orioles, Kimbrel made the Orioles’ ERA to 5.33 ERAs with the Orioles. However, just two seasons ago, Kimbrel was an All-Star, playing for the Phillies 71 times and sporting a 3.26 ERA.
