The 34-year-old Stroman is in his second year of a two-year, $37 million contract with New York before the 2024 season. He had a conditional player option for the 2026 season as he would not reach 140 innings this season.
Stroman was in the middle of a trial year in New York, pitching just 39 innings with just 26 strikeouts on 6.23 ERA songs.
The previous two All-Stars were unable to regain his previous success in the Bronx, pitching for a 4.69 ERA song in 193.2 innings in New York.
Stroman is now heading for free agency, where he seeks a new start with a new team. Candidates who missed the addition of starting pitching at the trade deadline will have the opportunity to sign a cheap signature on Stroman, hoping to be able to find past forms in the new environment.

Throughout his 11-year career with the Toronto Blue Jays, Mets, Cubs and Yankees, Stromann won a 3.79 ERA in 1,497.1 innings. He is a two-time All-Star and a one-time Gold Globe Award winner.
