The New York Yankees officially released right-handed pitcher JT Brubaker on Thursday. The 31-year-old was designated as a task earlier this week after an ERA of 3.38 in 12 relief efforts.
Additionally, the Seattle Mariners’ newly acquired All-Star baseman Josh Naylor suffered a clear injury while swinging on Thursday. Naylor has led the league on bases stolen with 10 swipes over the past 15 days, hitting .273 in 12 appearances with the new team.
Finally, the Houston Astros signed right-handed Enniel de los Santos on Thursday, and designated right-handed pitcher Louis Contrera to open the roster. Right-handed pitcher Nick Hernandez chose Triple A Sugarland in his corresponding move.
