Liverpool has signed world-class athletes under the Fenway Sports Group led by John W. Henry.
FSG was an owner who occasionally split up among the Reds’ fanbase, but it is impossible to deny that it oversaw a period of great success at Anfield. Although sometimes accused of being rather frugal, they have developed training grounds for Anfield and the club, but the refreshment of the academy facilities is expected to cost up to £20 million over the next few years.
In the summer window of 2025, with the help of Michael Edwards and Richard Hughes, they broke Liverpool and British football transfer records twice, and popped over £400 million with new signatures, keeping the right side of the PSR thanks to smart sales like Lewis Diaz and Darwin Nunes.
Alexander Isaac and Florian Wurtz will be the Reds’ mainstay for years, but both have something to do to crack Liverpool’s stellar list of great signatures under FSG.
10
Alexis Mac Allister
Alexis Mac Allister
The Alexis Mac Allister could easily be high on this list, depending on how long he stays in Liverpool. He’s been a great addition since his arrival from Brighton, and the fact that he costs just £35 million makes him an incredible bargain.
Argentina is a complete midfielder, combining technical brilliance, hard work and leadership, and at the age of 26 there’s more to come from him. He is a manager’s dream.

Jordan Henderson
Jordan Henderson
Gini Wijnaldum is a great signature from Newcastle United and you can think it’s unlucky to miss as Jordan Henderson came over him.
After a terrible start to his life at Liverpool, Henderson was an incredible leader and grew into an underrated all-around footballer, spending 12 years at Anfield, captaining the Reds to the glory of the Champions League and Premier League.
He split for years, but his critics became quieter as a player, and he played a major role in Liverpool’s success under Jurgen Klopp.

Fabigno
Fabigno
Liverpool was screaming for Elite No. 6 in 2018 to take Elite No. 6 to the next level.
The Brazilian was called the “lighthouse” because of his ability to see everything happening around him.
Ultimately, £43.7 million proved to be a bargain, and the Reds crowned both European and British champions within two years of Fabigno’s arrival.
7
Luis Suarez
Luis Suarez
Sadly, Luis Suarez’s actions continue to hurt his legacy, but there is no denying that he is a genius that FSG made brilliantly to introduce.
Liverpool needed a new hero when Fernando Torres left for Chelsea in 2011, when Suarez came straight in and enjoyed the amazing 3-and-a-half year old at Anfield.
Uruguirons inspired Brendan Rogers’s title in 2013/14, creating one of them His impressive individual season at Liverpool set off for Barcelona with a tally of 82 goals in just 133 appearances. He is one of the Reds’ most talented players.
6
Andy Robertson
Andy Robertson
As for bargains, Andy Robertson could be FSG’s biggest owner as Liverpool owner, considering he arrived from Hull City in 2017 for just £8 million.
It was unclear whether Scott was good enough at the time, but he has since grown not only one of the Reds’ best left-backs, but also one of the greatest in Premier League history.
A stubborn, effective and great leader, Robertson has earned over 300 appearances for Liverpool and remains an outstanding team player at the age of 31.
5
Roberto Farmino
Roberto Farmino
For the past 20 years, Liverpool has few players more popular with Liverpool than Roberto Firmino, who is barely comparable to his peak at Anfield.
The Brazilian almost redefines the erroneous nine roles that, in his time as a Reds player, perfectly combining talent, selflessness and tactical intelligence to prove to be the perfect foil for Mohamed Sarah and Sadio Mane.
Without Firmino, Liverpool would not have been successful in Klopp’s responsibilities – it’s fair to say that when he joined from Hoffenheim he had comfortably surpassed expectations. It was a transfer master stroke using FSG.
4
Sadio Manet
Sadio Manet
With Sarah in the spotlight and often leaving Senegal’s sense in 2022, it could be that you forget how good Sadio Manet is for Liverpool.
But Mane was an amazing addition for the Reds, but from the moment he joined from Southampton in 2016, he changed the offense with pace and final product, earning Arsenal an astonishing solo effort in his debut.
The Liverpool legend has undoubtedly been his team’s best player in the 2019/20 season in the Premier League, speaking volumes about his abilities, and he finished his time at Anfield with 120 goals and 38 assists in 269 appearances.
3
Allison
Allison
It is impossible to underestimate the importance of Liverpool snapping Allison from Rome in the summer of 2018.
The Brazilian has been a massive signature over the past seven years, consistently solidifying his position as the world’s best goalkeeper, bailing out the Reds multiple times. His greatest skill is making everything look easy when the job he actually does is difficult.
Allison is a once-in-a-generation “keeper” and by the time he hangs his boots he could be considered in his position as one of the greatest in history.
2
Mohamed is wrong
Mohamed is wrong
Remember when Sara was considered “One Season Wonder” and “Chelsea Rejection”?
When the Egyptian king joined Liverpool in 2017, no one could have predicted what would happen in the next eight years. The 33-year-old, 33, is probably one of the three best players in history alongside Kenny Dalglish and Stephen Gerrard.
Sarah is amazing for the Reds, breaking too many records to mention, and sitting third on the club’s highest scoring chart of all time.
His consistency, dedication and victory mentality made him a true modern game game, with £36.9 million being a very part of the business by FSG.
1
Virgil Van Dijk
Virgil Van Dijk
Of course, some may have put Sarah in first place, but Virgil Van Dyke’s influence is unparalleled. When he arrived at £75 million from Southampton in January 2018, some laughed at the price tag, but he has since been worth double that amount at least.
Dutchman is currently insisting that he is one of the biggest centre-backs to play the game. The 34-year-old is extremely perfect in every aspect of his game and could have been created in the lab.
Strong, fast, gaming expert, great captain and talented technician, it takes a long time to see another central defender at Vandic’s level. Becoming Liverpool’s captain is only being added to his aura, and replacing him when he eventually retires or leaves is FSG’s biggest challenge.
