Former Pakistani cricketer Sikandar Bakto assaulted Captain Mohammad Rizwan for not playing in the National T20 Cup. He said the Keeper batter should win 60 lakhs a month and play in tournaments organized by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

Mohammad Rizwan refuses to perform at the National T20 Cup and features club cricket
Lizwan failed to score big points throughout the tournament and was not active as a leader. After his poor performance in the recent ODI, the batsman was dropped from the T20I team for the New Zealand Series along with other senior players.
Rizwan has since not featured in the National T20 Cup, hosted by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), and has instead played Club Cricket. The move has been criticised for a lot by previous stars, with the latest being Shikander Bakto joining the bandwagon.

Sikander Bakht said Mohammad Rizwan has won Rs 600,000 a month and should have played in the National T20 Cup. He added that the PCB confirmed that players are available to compete and that the ODI captain was shaming the board. Speaking about Geo News, he said:
“They are employees of Pakistan’s Cricket Committee. They get Rs 600,000 a month, so they need to play in tournaments organized by the PCB.
Stop their central contract – Mohammad Rizwan’s Sikander Bakht plays the National T20 Cup
Sikander Bakht added that PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi must be strict with these players. He urged the player to cancel the central contract if he disagrees with play. He explained:
“This should not happen. Mohshin Nakvi needs to be strict. He goes off as a polite person, but he needs to change his way. You have to ask what is going on. Be strict.
Mohammad Rizwan will take on the next move when Pakistan faces New Zealand in a three-match ODI series. The skipper is keen to make a strong comeback after winning just 49 runs in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
Pakistan is currently playing the T20I series against New Zealand. Under the leadership of Salman Agha, they lost the first two games of the series.
