Los Angeles superstar Mookie Betts was scratched from the lineup two hours before the first pitch of the highway series. Miguel Rojas is currently embedded in a pencil as a starting short stop.

It is unclear why Betts was hurt from the lineup. However, Betts has not played for the since the Cactus League due to illness. He didn’t play in the Tokyo Series and left Japan early to recover.
Last week, manager Dave Roberts said he hopes the are ready for opening day. However, the turn of the final event raised concerns.
“I think we’re really trying to be careful not only to the first day, but not to harm him,” Roberts said. “He hasn’t taken one batter, played in a week, played in a week.
Betts has made an unprecedented transition to a shortstop this season. He is in 100% health to play his new position. It’s not ideal to miss the first game of the Highway series, but the goal is for him to be in the first day of the country with the Detroit Tigers.
