The Los Angeles refuse to lose.
After descending 5-3 towards the bottom of the 10th inning, the scored five points. This included Mookie Betts’ three home runs, beating the Detroit Tigers, moving to an incredible 4-0 in the year.

Betts missed over two weeks dealing with a brutal stomach illness. He lost nearly 20 pounds and was unable to eat solid food.

Still, Betts was in the lineup on Thursday opening day, but broke out 3-5 on Friday with two home runs and four runs.
Before Betts made it to the bottom of the 10 innings, Michael Comfort hit an RBI double and acquired 2 base ghost runner Tommy Edman. Then, after a groundout, Will Smith hit a pinch-hit RBI single on his 30th birthday, and Shohei ohtani continued it with a single.
With runners second and third and one runner, Betts no longer let the game go, continuing the unbeaten LA season dramatically.
As for the rest of the game, Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Jack Flaherty (now with the Tigers) had a duel for the Pitchers. Yamamoto hit a career-high 10 in five innings and allowed two runs. Flaherty dominated in five innings, but gave up on a two-run home run for game tying to Freddie Freeman.
The led the bottom of the eighth innings on a solo home run by Betts, but Tanner Scott blew a save on top of the ninth.
However, three impressive defensive plays from Edman kept LA alive.
Lewis Garcia pitched 10th place and allowed a two-run double that fell just underneath his diving comfort gloves.

However, Conforto started 10 innings rally, and Betts closed it off with the ‘ first walk-off home run since Freddie Freeman’s walk-off grand slam in World Series Game 1.

The and Tigers will perform the series finale on Saturday, March 29th. The first pitch is 6:10pm.
