The Los Angeles are off to a red-hot start in 2025 as they are 6-0 in their competition with the Atlanta Braves on Tuesday night.
They are trying to make history that is not seen in baseball in a quarter century by winning their second World Series, but Mookie Betts is trying to burn their own trails and do things that are rarely seen in MLB.

The superstar won the MVP and secured seven All-Star selections on the right field, but last season he began heading for the infield.
Originally, the 2 base recruiter was a short stop where Mookie landed as former Gavin Lux showed defensive issues last spring.
There’s no doubt that the superstars are at work when it comes to planning this offseason and 2025.
“I started in November about two weeks after the season, but it’s not stopped,” Betts said through Bill Plunkett at the Orange County Register. “I really believe in my work. I give it all, so I can put my head down at night knowing that my work has prepared me the way I do it.”
Hard work is a reality, but much around the baseball world has tried to plunge the hole with Betts’ switch, claiming he is simply bored in the outfield.

“I think this story is personal. No. I just want to win. I want to do what it takes to win,” Betts said. “I’m not bored. Baseball isn’t boring enough for it. Especially batting. There’s no challenge all the time. There’s no need to try more. I’m not trying to find a way to challenge myself. No.
With three World Series rings, Betts has experienced a significant portion of the challenge this offseason.
The illness left him losing nearly 20 pounds and seating the first two games of the regular season, but in Vintage Betts fashion, he silenced the suspicious person last Friday.
With all the criticism swirling, Betts stepped up to the plate at the bottom of the 10 innings, tied with a score of five, two points and a perfect count.
The subsequent three-run walk-off blast wasn’t just the game’s exclamation point where the were in 5-2 at the bottom of the frame, but at shortstop, the baseball world informed the game’s second dinger that his work ethic would drive out obstacles in his midst.
