Team India bowling coach Morn Morquel made a cheeky jab at England middle school ahead of the fifth day of his second Test at Edbaston in Birmingham. Morkel recalled Brook’s confidence that England is following the targets set by India, but added that he might have to rethink that.
India, led by Shubman Gill, ended two innings with a total of 427, allowing nearly four sessions to deny England. The rest of Akash Deep, Mohammed Siraj and Bowling Attack must select the remaining seven wickets on the final day and seal the results on the final day.
This will be a victory in the Indian Maiden Test at Edgbaston. Visitors are a favorite to secure victory as England still needs 536 runs and seven wickets in their hands.

It will definitely be an exciting day for cricket – Morn Morquel
Speaking at a post-match press conference, Mohn Morquel added that England batsmen may try some offensive strokes early on before reevaluating their approach. Morkel noted that the pitch still offers good value for the run.
“It’s definitely going to be an exciting day for cricket, meaning he (Harry Brook) said last night they were going to chase after everything and something we set up for them.
“It’s a cricket brand they want to play. They might do it for a while and reevaluate it. But I think we’re having an exciting day of cricket. It’s still fast scoring.

What did Harry Brook say about chasing a target in the fourth innings?
England’s vice captain Harry Brook had made a bold statement before the fourth day. He said his team is ready to pursue the targets India sets. Brooke added that the world already knew England’s intention to chase the total of four innings of the match.
“I think everyone in the world knows we’re trying to chase anything that sets us up,” Brooke said at a news conference.
Brooke, who scored 158, and wicketkeeper Jamie Smith, who remained undefeated in 184, revived England’s first innings. The duo added a 303-run stand on the sixth wicket after England fell to 84 at 5. However, England lost their final five wickets with just 20 runs, finishing with a total of 407.
I have a lot of respect for Mohammed Siraj – Morn Morkel
Morn Morquel has stoked praise for Mohammed Syraj for his commitment and work ethic after Pacer claimed six wickets in the UK’s first innings. The former South African pacer said that Shiraj plays an important role that is not always reflected in numbers.
“He’s the guy I have a lot of respect for. He pushes his body to the limit. He can sometimes work hard and it’s not consistent for you. But he can really put his heart on his sleeve.
