In previous editions of the MotoGP video game series, this was an improvement on the previous edition, or the year was disappointed. However, MotoGP 25 answers many questions that were not possible in previous editions.
I’ve been playing MotoGP video games since I was 7 years old and returned to PS2 on NAMCO’s iconic MotoGP 3 and MotoGP 4. Milestone took over the license in 2013 and did an incredible job with the series, especially from 2013 to 2017.
Their top was the title, 2016 edition of Valentino Rossi: The Game. This was the gateway to Valentino Rossi’s world, flat tracking on the ranch, Misano, and even Monza Rally game mode. The amount of content from Rossi and MotoGP fans was incredible. This is why so many people still hold the game with such high respect in 2025.
However, while Milestone is often criticized for not having enough content in later editions of the game, in MotoGP 25 they answered with a starting block for them to build in the next edition of the game.
MotoGP 25 Game Review

MotoGP 25
The new centerpiece features races with game modes off, allowing fans to experience the training methods that Modern Grand Prix riders use in all classes. It can now race mini bikes, motards and flat track bikes. Yes, it’s limited to two circuits at the moment, but since Valentino Rossi: The Game, Milestone has implemented its truly the best game mode.
Honestly, I’m a nostalgia merchant and this may be why the new race-off mode flicked my switch. It just reminds me of many of the 2016 masterpieces that Milestone created.
It’s a lot of fun to slide sand into a flat track bike and dive bomb rider to make a stick of movement. Mini bikes are very fun as you can essentially choose multiple lines around two go-kart tracks and learn how to precisely control the throttle and cornering. Motored is tricky, but once you get it, once you get it, you can smoothly put the laps together and slide the back is very fun and satisfying.
I love the fact that race-off has been added to career mode, and you can also compete with riders from Moto2/3 and challenge your rivals in the MotoGP class to duel in three areas.
Fans of this series want to feel like the real-life rider that is often seen on flat tracks and riding motards via social media. This is what the new game mode does. It immerses you in the routine of feeling like you are one of your heroes (although in the virtual version), but you understand what I mean.
This allows players to hone their skills ahead of the race weekend, adding the depth they need for once a rather boring career mode.
Career mode has a small but great feature that allows you to add another layer to your player experience. After each race, players can talk to their engineers and explain which bike characteristics to improve and where they think it’s best to focus on developing the bike.
But for me, the key is the user-friendly nature of the MotoGP 25. I admit that my skills have been regressed over the years. Not helped by the very tricky game physics of the milestone. Many fans like me just want to have an easy and fun experience when playing the game.

MotoGP 25
Previous editions have a variety of assists that can adjust your experience, but honestly, the game is still difficult to enjoy. 25 feels like an old arcade vibe and is easy to pick up and play immediately.
It also shines in the best sound game ever, as Milestone uses the unrealistic Engine 5 to collaborate with the official team to record it to the fullest extent possible.
The game isn’t perfect, but it praises the milestone effort with the addition of race-off mode.
For some, that’s not for everyone, as you can see novelty draining so quickly. Most of the time, there are only two circuits to choose from, leading to the fact that you can only race in the MotoGP class. But if they could sign a deal with Valentino Rossi and add his ranch to the game… that would be something. But they may be planned for future editions.
The game comes with an updated Ribery, helmet and bicycle model for the 2025 MotoGP class. This is great compared to previous games. Unfortunately, Moto2/Moto3 doesn’t have an updated liver yet at the time this article is released, but it needs to be sorted immediately.
So, if you play and like MotoGP 24, this is an upgrade. If you want to participate in the MotoGP video game series, give it a try. It’s so much fun!
It scores 7.5/10 on my scoring scale and I hope it is a milestone building block to provide better games on the line.
