Tottenham reportedly lined up the movements of central Atletico Madrid midfielder Conor Gallagher after seeing him in the summer.
England International has mixed spells in the LA La Liga, but it’s not too surprising to see him return to Premier League clubs in the near future.
As reported in the summer, there was late interest in Gallagher from Spurs and Manchester United, but the deal never came to fruition.
Still, this is likely to be something to see again in January, according to latest reports from TBR Football and others.
Gallagher is not guaranteed to play regularly at Atletico, and THFC can offer him a way out of the club.
Tottenham remains enthusiastic about Connor Gallagher’s transfer
Tottenham’s new manager, Thomas Frank, has begun a strong life in North London, but he is certainly keen to add both quality and depth to his team in the winter.
Gallagher brings quality and the Premier League experience and can start many games for the Spurs, but sometimes it looks like someone who offers decent rotation options, so it looks like they can fit perfectly with the bill.
It will be interesting to see if they will be taking part in Gallagher races in weeks and months, as other Premier League clubs also appear to be likely to leave Spain this January.
