Myles Turner has made headlines again with his comments about his former teammate.
For about three and a half years, Myles Turner shared the court with Tyrese Haliburton of the Indiana Pacers.
This duo has been instrumental in the Pacers’ success in recent years, including an incredible run to the NBA Finals in 2025. But has their relationship fallen apart since Turner left the Pacers for the Milwaukee Bucks?
Since leaving Indy, Turner has shared a rocky relationship with his former team. Turner had previously been accused of abusing Pacers fans.
In reality, Turner had nothing but praise for the Bucks’ fan base. Now, the veteran center appears to be accusing Haliburton of being too tough on the court.
“Tyrese Haliburton knows he’s protected, too, so he can go out there and say what he thinks and say whatever he wants to say, and then he knows he has backup,” Turner said on the Tanalysis podcast.
“If he was in the middle of the street, he wouldn’t speak the same way,” he added.
This may seem like a shocking dig at his former teammate, especially since Haliburton has had nothing but good things to say about Turner since he left.
As expected, Turner’s comments went viral on X. As a result, the Bucks center later had to clarify his statement in a tweet.
“Hey, I know it’s fun to hate me because of the rivalry and all that, but please don’t let this clip farming culture get into your heads.
“Me and (Halliburton) went to war together for 3 years and he did nothing but advance my career. Stop this false narrative now. It’s all about love on my side,” Turner tweeted.
Mr. Turner also made the wise choice to quote the video in its full context rather than reacting to the video that went viral on X.
