Myles Turner made his debut with the Milwaukee Bucks.
The Milwaukee Bucks started the 2025-26 NBA season with a dominant 133-120 victory over the Washington Wizards.
As expected, Giannis Antetokounmpo was unstoppable, and the Bucks star finished the night with 37 points, 14 rebounds, and five assists.
Speaking of the Bucks, it was also Myles Turner’s team debut. Described as a perfect fit alongside Giannis, Turner gave his honest opinion on playing alongside the Greek Freak.
Turner finished his debut with 11 points, eight rebounds, and five assists in just 29 minutes. The former Indiana Pacers star had a stellar debut, and Antetokounmpo deserves to be recognized for his accomplishments.
Previously, Turner mentioned how Antetokounmpo’s gravity was a new feeling for him. The 29-year-old center reiterated that point after the Bucks’ incredible start to the season.
“Offensive style, Giannis obviously makes the game a lot easier. He’s unbelievable. I’m happy to have him on my side. He’s tough to deal with over there, man,” Turner said in his postgame press conference.
He added, “He has gravitas and is one of the few players in the league that gets so much attention. He makes the right play almost every time. It’s very impressive to be on his side.”
Over the years, Turner has played against Antetokounmpo many times, but being his teammate has made the two-time NBA block champion happier than ever.
Turner wore a non-Pacers jersey for the first time in his career. Obviously, it will take time for him to adapt to his new team.
In fact, from Turner’s preseason debut to the season opener, there was already a significant difference in chemistry with his new teammates.
“There were a few moments in this game where we got the ball and had no choice but to shoot,” Turner continued. “Sometimes I feel like we’re shooting the ball too much, but our players are telling us they want to be aggressive and make shots. I like the speed of our play.”
“The period of adjustment will be short,” Turner concluded.
The Bucks are next scheduled to face the Toronto Raptors and it will be interesting to see how they fare against the Eastern Conference side.
