According to polls with NBA executives, the San Antonio Spurs really chose an incredible outlook in the 2025 NBA Draft.

The San Antonio Spurs have come very well in the 2020s to rebuild their team. Over the past few years, they have gained some amazing young talent.

This year, the Spurs selected Dylan Harper with a #2 pick in the 2026 NBA Draft. Harper is the Spurs’ third consecutive top five pick in the last three years.

With Harper’s addition, many believe the Spurs are on a competitive path again, given the extremely talented players they’ve landed.

Even the addition of De’aaron Fox, which can cause some choice headaches to the Spurs, is essential to their success.

However, NBA executives believe the Spurs picked up the draft steal, and they have not spoken about Dylan Harper.

NBA executives took part in the recent ESPN poll and answered several questions. When talking about the biggest steal in the NBA Draft, each executive selected three players.

After compiling all the executive responses, the results were obtained. Carter Bryant led the vote, followed by Joan Bellinger and Casparas Jaccionas.

  1. Carter Bryant (Spurs, No. 14): 5 votes
  2. Joan Beringer (Minnesota Timberwolves, No. 17): 4 votes
  3. Kaspar Jakucionis (Miami Heat, No. 20): 2 votes

One of the Eastern Conference Side Scouts talked about why Carter Bryant is so good. He claimed that the two-way possibilities of young forwards would make him a successful player for years to come.

“(Bryant) turns into an impact wing defender who can make 3s and can become part of the core. I look back a few years later while the Spurs win a big way. People draft the castle in 4 (2024) and Bryant steals defensively (draft) as Victor at age 14.”

If Carter Bryant develops into a star-level player, the Spurs will definitely have a team juggernaut over the next few years.

Bryant, along with Victor Wenbagnama, Stefon Castle and Dylan Harper, could be an incredible core in a few years.

Like the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Spurs can build future championship teams with these young stars if they develop the right way.

But of course, there’s nothing certain about the NBA. For these players to achieve their potential, the Spurs must develop them in the right way.
