The Knicks came back from 20 points below and beat the Celtics 108-105 in overtime, with social media fans loving every second of the clutch game.

The New York Knicks are heading to Boston and taking Game 1 dramatically out of the Celtics. After falling to a 72-52 deficit mid-3rd quarter, the Knicks came back and won.

It was a sparkling game, especially in the fourth quarter, where Mikal Bridges was the main defensive catalyst. Jalen Brunson scored 29 points in the evening, bringing fans to awe-inspiring like he did against the Pistons in Game 6.

Meanwhile, the Celtics couldn’t get it in the second half. Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown matched up with 46 points, but that wasn’t enough.

The Boston Celtics reportedly have only one more chance to win a championship on this roster, but they didn’t play that way in Game 1 of the series.

There is a very realistic rivalry between Boston and New York cities, and nonetheless, emotions are rising during the playoffs.

After the game, social media was dependent on the reaction that was calling for the Celtics, but some praised the Knicks.

“If you miss that many shots, you deserve to lose,” a fan of Boston wrote. Another is, “And people ask why Tatum is disrespectful.”

“Blowouts are somehow thrillers. What a comeback Knicks!!!” the third fan said. “I really can’t get enough of these Knicks guys,” another said.

Perhaps the most ideal comment came from one fan who wrote, “Women and Gentlemen, we have a series.”

Stepping into TD Garden in a playoff atmosphere is a difficult bet for any team. Branson and the company were all frank and managed to get the victory over the noise.

This is a series where home courts are very important and the Knicks just stole the advantages. If you win all the games at Madison Square Garden, you win the series.

Boston is the champion and it’s fair to expect a massive Game 2 response. However, if the Knicks can win that, they could end the series prematurely.

The NBA playoffs are creating small benefits that could change momentum. The Knicks created something big.
