The Dallas Mavericks officially introduced Cooper Flag as a player at a press conference in the city.
Nico Harrison and Jason Kidd sat by his side as it was a crucial day for the franchise, which had already undergone many changes this year.
One of the biggest moves came in February when Harrison decided to trade Lukadon Sic for the LA Lakers in a deal that saw the Dallas Mavericks acquire Anthony Davis.
Other stars were involved in the deal, but these were two big names, and Mavs fans weren’t happy with what went down.
Harrison was criticized for swapping stars for the franchise, and fans even chanted “Fire Nico” during the game.
However, Mavs managed to get some sort of joy when given the number one overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft despite potentially achieving a 1.8% chance in the 2025 NBA Draft.
Dukester was one of the best players in his class and had already shown his glow in the training he had with his team, so they easily decided to draft the flag.
Flag answered every question with the utmost confidence at his introductory secretary press conference, but Harrison’s response once again caused the fans to smoke.
Harrison is undergoing immense scrutiny to trade Don Sic and despite drafting the Cooper Flag, it is expected that he will not be given any grace.
One reason for Don Sic, who recently infuriated Harrison, has been revealed, and fans have since been appearing to be even more criticising the general manager.
While speaking at the press conference, he said: “We’re winning right now. I think we have a really good team and the fans are really starting to see the vision,” he said when asked about Harrison’s relationship with the fans.

However, some fans are not happy with the decision yet and have decided to tweet on X.

Another one has been added, but “Fire Nico”

Social media users say, “It’s hilarious to claim that there’s a 1.8% chance of winning the lottery as part of their vision. How is it continuing to get worse?”
Flag has also been added to the roster, so Mavs’ depth is immeasurable as he has a roster stacked up in size, ability, and even championship mentality.
Klay Thompson, Kyrie Irving and Davis are all champions, but Flagg is a star, but there’s still a lot to learn about the NBA from veterans.
Jason Kidd has created an interesting point to address Mavs’ point guard issues with Irving for a foreseeable future.
He said Flag would see him handle the ball because the coach wants to challenge him.
Even if he fails, the team has other veterans who can do a good job for the franchise in that position.
However, Flag is a fighter jet and faces challenges set by his coach.
