Nikola Jokic’s epic 42-point performance in the 121-119 comeback victory for the Nuggets has lost it on social media by NBA fans.

The Denver Nuggets stole home court in the process by defeating the Oklahoma City Thunder in the opening game of the Western Conference Semi-Final Series.

It concluded a night of scintillation NBA playoff action, where he saw the Knicks score an impressive comeback victory with the Celtics.

Aaron Gordon hit the winner of the game with 2.8 seconds remaining, pulling him out of range after Chet Holmgren missed two free throws on the other end.

Away from the Game 7 victory against the Clippers, the Nuggets are riding high. And NBA fans can’t get enough of Nicola Jokic, which has already been compared to Prime LeBron James this postseason.

The MVP discussion this season took place between two players in the series, Jokic and OKC’s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. After Game 1, fans seem to be left undoubtedly.

Jokic scored 42 points, grabbed 22 rebounds and announced five assists. He was very clutch, scoring 18 points in the fourth quarter.

“So he’s an MVP and everyone who says otherwise he’s wrong,” one fan wrote. “Jokic is a real MVP. He owns Shai and OKC!!! What a game!” another said.

“The game showed who the actual MVP was,” the third fan said. The other comments were similar, but as in this post I read, “It’s clear as a day. Jokic is a few years away from Shy.”

Gordon also brought some love, a fan who says, “Aaron Gordon because your third option is so unfair.” Another fan wrote, “Ag has ice in his veins, man, he’s him.”

There’s a reason why the 30-year-old Serb is three-time MVP. Playing with barely rest against the fully rested side of lightning, the Nuggets superstar managed to make history.

Jokic became the first player to exceed 40 points, 20 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 blocks in an NBA playoff game.

He shot 51.7% from the field and 33.3% from the 3-point range. It’s another efficient display from the Joker, and the Joker continues to move from force to force.

Game 2 of the series took place on Wednesday, May 8th and is now a must-see for Thunder. As for the nuggets, another victory will place them firmly in the driver’s seat.
