Jimmy Butler suffered a massive back injury, which forced him to push Game 2 to the exit early thanks to an unnecessary foul from Amen Thompson.
Jimmy Butler has been a key member of the Golden State Warriors since his arrival in March. He transformed the team into a completely legal playoff contender.
In his first playoff game, Butler dropped a strong 25-point performance to help the Warriors get the win while playing elite defense.
After the game, Draymond Green spoke about how Jimmy Butler surprised him with his defense and basketball IQ.
Amen Thompson’s dangerous play involves the Warriors having to have IQ and defense as Butler lands badly on his back and is forced to leave the game.

Many fans placed emphasis on Jimmy Butler’s pelvic conscience injuries and Amen Thompson’s role on the team. One fan simply wrote, “It’s okay, be Jimmy.”
Another fan believes there is an easy solution here, but “I think if he seriously hurts him being ruled out before halftime, they should have him sit in Game 3 and unleash Jonathan Cuminga.”
More worried fans cried out, “A warrior in trouble.” “Ref will allow the rocket to turn into football,” wrote another frustrated fan about the host.
Some fans just wanted to know when he would come back, noting, “Please tell me this won’t keep him out for too long.”

Losing Butler for the rest of Game 2 can be disastrous for the team. Steve Kerr shared concerns about Butler’s heavy portion, but even he couldn’t see this coming.
Stephen Curry recently defended Butler when Charles Berkley argued that it wasn’t that important to the team. Now, Berkley will get a good example of what Butler brings to the Warriors.
Perhaps this is when Kerr “gives his pride” just as he began playing Jonathan Kuminga in Butler’s absence.
Perhaps Draymond Green was right when he said that Kuminga would get the chance to play against the Rocket.
