The Golden State Warriors dominated the La Lakers in their preseason opener, and Moses Moody made a good impression among fans.
The Golden State Warriors started the preseason very well, beating the Los Angeles Lakers in an impressive show at Chase Center.
While the Lakers lost Luka Donsic, LeBron James and Austin Reeves, the Warriors were able to call on the big threes: Stephen Curry, Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green.
But in reality, he was another Warriors starter who took over the game. Moses Moody dropped 19 points in the game. This includes five 3-pointers with just seven attempts.
Fans were really taken to Moody’s performance, with several fans lavishing on him after the game and comparing him to classmate Jonathan Cuminga in the 2021 draft.
NBA fans were totally impressed with Moses Moody’s performance, but Jonathan Kuminga failed to live up to the hype he created after the contract saga with just five points and six rebounds.
One fan said, “Jonathan Cuminga was talking about the offseason of Golden State, but Moses Moody was quietly better.”
Another fan said, “Moody>>>> Kuminga.”
But as one fan wrote, not everyone was critical of Cuminga.
Another fan praised Kuminga for adapting to Steve Kerr, saying, “Kumminga Hattes is really quiet… He’s barely trying to score… Moody has put that dog inside him too.”
But of course, Kuminga’s recent contract Saga appeared, and one fan said, “That’s why Johnathan Kuminga is mad. Moses Moody is starting before him.
Regardless of the comments made by fans after the first preseason game, both Jonathan Kuminga and Moses Moody need to hold their heads down.
The two young people play a role in the team and they have to focus on providing what Steve Kerr asks them.
Kuminga and Steve Kerr’s relationship is reportedly still tense. In fact, Jake Fisher believes his ability to establish a role under Kerr will determine his future with the team.
“How Cuminga fits into the Butler-era warriors will be one of the key stories we will track throughout the first few months of the season.
“If Kuminga struggles to establish a consistent role under the Warriors coach as in the past, his name is set to be at the forefront of the trade season’s speculation.”
Hopefully, Kuminga can get his spot in Kerr’s rotation, while also growing into a player he has the potential to be.
