NBA fans couldn’t believe how Jalen Brunson stepped up in the final moments of Game 6 to help the Knicks close the series against the Pistons.
The New York Knicks defeated the Detroit Pistons in six games. In a massive match and on the road, Jalen Brunson stepped up to deliver a strong performance.
Branson played an incredible match and scored 40 points, including three who won the game. He showed why he was a star player for the New York Knicks.
His hero tonight proved that Tom Thibodeau was wrong to leave Branson and Hart later in Game 6.
Now the Knicks will face the Celtics in the second round of the playoffs. And while that series will be a challenge, Knicks fans can at least celebrate tonight’s victory.

Jalen Brunson was a star throughout the series. His incredible 15-point fourth quarter in Game 4 provided the Knicks with some breathing chambers as the Knicks rose 3-1.
There were concerns that Tom Thibodeau’s decision to play big starter minutes in the playoffs would be expensive. But that wasn’t the case, and Branson even defended his coach from that tired story.
The victory in this game and series is just as euphoric as the Knicks, so they must remember the challenges they face in the next round.
The Boston Celtics are the surviving NBA champions and their favorite to win it all. What makes this even more difficult for the Knicks is the issue with the Celtics this season.
In four games this year, the Knicks are 0-4 against the Celtics. This doesn’t give you much confidence in how the Knicks will work in the series. But the playoffs are a completely different story.
