The 2025-26 NBA season is expected to shake things up at both meetings.
During the 2025-26 NBA season, all teams look forward to abdicate the Oklahoma City Thunder as the league’s defending champions.
This includes the Los Angeles Lakers and the Milwaukee Bucks. However, the two Juggernauts are looking for surprises next season. At least that’s what experts believe.
The Lakers already have a great offseason, but the front office is still in motion. That was evident in the addition of Kylor Kelley to Deandre Ayton’s backup center role.
Meanwhile, the Bucks have had a terrible offseason. They abandoned Damien Lillard to sign former Indiana Pacer Miles Turner.
Obviously, many believe that Giannis Antetocompo-led Buck is in a terrible season. However, an anonymous poll featuring ESPN’s top insiders confirmed the allegations.
“Giannis Antetokounmpo is still one of the best players in the world. Still, the gap between his talent and the other rosters is impressive, even after Milwaukee made an unprecedented move to sign Miles Turner in free agency.
“…The Bucks’ plan for success this season is to lean heavily towards Anteto Compo. The two MVPs have previously been on a massive task, but fighting this roster without a clear second star will likely require his most Hercules effort,” writes Jamal Collier.
Due to context, the Bucks top the list with 41 points, while the Lakers came in second with 32 points. The Phoenix Suns and Boston Celtics each tied for third place with 28 points.

The Lakers have made great additions to their roster, but LeBron James’ future remains a big question mark heading into the 2025-26 season.
As Luka Doncic took responsibility as the face of the franchise, the Lakers were voted for the second most likely team to make a smash hit trade before the panel’s deadline.
“Moving into the Luka Donsic era, the Lakers maintain some of the first round sweeteners they can use to trade as an expired contract loom for LeBron James.
“Disappointment and despair can create movement about the situation with the Cavaliers,” Anthony Slater wrote for ESPN.
He added: “If they’re afraid their high-value core 4 won’t get it done in the playoffs again, they might decide to flip one and change the mix.”
The Golden State Warriors have been selected as the most likely team on the list. Obviously because of the ongoing Jonathan Cuminga Saga.
