According to Simon Phillips, Chelsea will be holding more talks on the potential moves for Ipswich Town striker Liam Dellup.
The Bruce can do well to land Dellup this summer as they need a new striker, but England Under 21 International is also a target for Manchester United.
According to Phillips, there are some desires to live in Manchester from Dellup, but that doesn’t break the contract for him, so Chelsea is still running.
The report adds that the West London giant is ready to improve its contract offer to delap the contract offer after the new talk.
I haven’t decided anything about Liam Delap yet.
So, nothing has been decided yet about Delap, but Chelsea and Man UTD appear to be two main teams to watch in the 22-year-old’s signature race.
However, Phillips notes that there are other options the CFC is considering, so they can look at alternatives like Victor Osimhen, Benjamin Sesco and Hugo Ekitique.
However, Delap has proven himself in the Premier League, but unlike other names, he has earned praise from Enzo Maresca, who called him an “illusion” according to TNT Sports.
Will the Europa League Final determine Delap’s fate?
There’s a lot written about Delap’s future, but ESPN’s report suggests that things could become a little more clear after tonight’s Europa League final.
The Red Devils are looking to beat Tottenham to win the consolation award after a terrible season, but perhaps even more importantly, the fact that Champions League qualifiers are up for the glove.
ESPN claims that if United misses it, it could boost Chelsea by pursuing Delap, while MUFC can swing things in favor of lifting the trophy.
Delap looks like he has a big future in the game wherever he goes. And he imagines he can actually have better options than these clubs.
