Fabrizio Romano says he expects new talks and contact details to take Marcus Rashford from Manchester United to Barcelona.
England International lost support at Man UTD under current manager Reuben Amorim and left the club at Aston Villa in late 2024/25.
Now it appears that Rashford will not return to United next season. Barca has emerged as a clear preference for the player for the next move.
See below as Romano provides the latest information on the situation in Rashford and Barcelona. It suggests that the 27-year-old will be “very enthusiastic” as he transitions to Nu Camp and is likely to discuss the deal further…
Romano also spoke in a video about Barcelona’s passion for Nico Williams this summer, but he is currently staying at Athletic Bilbao.
Meanwhile, there are stories of Louis Diaz being Barca’s target, but Liverpool doesn’t want to let go of Colombia International.
That could mean that Rashford makes sense as a decent alternative to that position.
Marcus Rashford needs the right move to revive his career
Rashford struggled to find his best form towards the end of his time at United, but he also didn’t get much attention while being rented out at the villa.
This next step looks like a really important step for Rashford, who needs to play regularly and show that he can play for big clubs.
It wasn’t long ago that Rashford was widely considered one of Europe’s best offensive players, but this surprising dip has now been going on for almost two years.
It would be a bit of a gamble for Barcelona to sign him right now, but he clearly thinks he can contribute something to a club like theirs.
