The New Orleans Pelicans are heading for a new era of basketball, where President Joe Dumar takes over the team.

Dumars previously served as Vice Chairman of the NBA, but moved to New Orleans to take over his role as president of the franchise.

His first few months have already brought many big moves. This led to many major moves, including drafting 13th Derrick Queen in the 2025 NBA Draft the following year’s first round pick.

Another big decision made by the New Orleans Pelican was to draft Jeremiah’s fears and draft them as the seventh overall pick.

The University of Oklahoma player has already made several headlines in his NBA Summer League performance.

After a glimpse of his talent, Fear issued a strong statement about what he hopes for in the future.

Fear rose big numbers to Oklahoma, averaging 17 points and four assists in the NCAA tournament.

There, his exploitation helped him climb the draft location and be selected for New Orleans.

The 18-year-old has published several large numbers in the summer league, and this has also been attracting attention from his coaches.

Fear was recently interviewed by ESPN’s Dave McMenamine, where his comments show the confidence he has in his game.

“I bring a lot of the best two point guards of all time to the table, bring a lot to the table, and keep showing everyone what I can do with every step I step onto the floor, and just focus on the game in front of me and the practice in front of me,” the terror added.

The horror will become part of the Pelican roster, which already has security guards like Jordan Poole and de Joan Murray.

Pool was one of his players’ comparisons in the pre-draft process. He certainly can learn a lot from them, as both Poole and Murray are part of a great team.

Fear is confident in his approach and can do everything as a point guard. He is a good scorer and does his best to play, but one thing he needs to work on is to reduce the number of sales.

The Oklahoma players averaged 3.4 spins in the NCAA Tournament. This is understandable to college athletes. In two summer league matches, Fear scored 14 and 15 points respectively.

But he combines 10 turnovers in these games, which is not good at the NBA level.

This is expected to improve as he plays more games in the league.

Though fear certainly has many talents, efficiency and sales are obvious issues in his game.

If he works on them and learns from veterans, fear will be a great player to watch.
