The New York Knicks season ended in the Eastern Conference Finals after losing to the Indiana Pacers.
A few days after the loss, the team announced the firing of head coach Tom Thibodeau.
A search for a new coach for the New York Knicks has split the entire NBA community.
Jason Kidd, Ime Udoka and Chris Finch were involved in the list of names the Knicks wanted to interview, but they were denied permission and eventually got the opportunity to talk to former Memphis Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins.
Of all the coaching dramas that unfolded, the Knicks players continued their offseason.
The team’s official X-handle posted several photos of the players’ vacation with the caption “It’s the first day of summer. We outside.”
This will help angry fans, countering the backdrop of the NBA Finals reaching Game 7, showing that the Pacers can challenge top-seeded lightning.
The official Knicks X page posted photos of stars Jalen Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns, Mitchell Robinson and Mikal Bridges enjoying the offseason.
However, the furious Knicks fans were not satisfied with the timing of the post and expressed disappointment in the comments.
One fan replied: “It’s difficult to be a Knicks fan. Stop making it difficult.”
Another said, “The administrator didn’t think about it through this.”
Users also questioned whether the Indiana Pacers had hacked the official Knicks account to post these photos.
“Did Pacer hack this account and post these?” his tweet read.
Some also said “Cancun looks illuminated.”
Fans added: “You’ll love this post if you don’t like the Knicks.”
“Hell of tweets that you make during the final,” another pointed out.
Another wrote: “It’s not flex, especially if the team has Game 7 for the final on Sunday.”
The Knicks are only providing ammunition for rival fans, and writes:
Thibodeau was also grown up in the comments section by X users.
“Thibs, meanwhile, are in the Upstate laundromat telling dispensers they did something different in the G1,” he tweeted.
Fan frustration with the Knicks is effective as they have been losing to the same opponent for two consecutive seasons, which is painful.
But the team is in a very good place and future coaches have a stacked roster.
Kevin Durant was reportedly a player linked to the Knicks, but the team did not choose to trade him.
Kendrick Perkins wasn’t too pleased with the decision and denounced the franchise as the two-time champion from Karl Anthony Towns was quickly upgraded.
It was a shame they missed KD, but reports show that the offseason will be explosive and several more moves are expected to occur.
The Knicks have players that can be presented in Star Player trades. If that happens, they will be an exciting aspect to watch next season.
Jalen Brunson is a sensational point guard, but in the playoffs the load on him was excessive and others have not consistently stepped up.
Taking another star player will complicated the salary cap situation and require a KAT trade, but if that leads to another good option that can score, your team should ideally trade.
