As the New York Knicks are considering their options to clear spots on the roster, a young star declares his desire to be with them.
The New York Knicks are making a big decision as they are looking to complete the roster for the 2025-26 NBA season.
The Knicks will have to choose between two security guards, Landry Shamet and Malcolm Brogdon, or exchange players if they want to sign both.
Once things stand, the Knicks are considering swapping Pacom Dadiettes, even getting interested in the proceedings of the young star in the preseason.
One of the stars the Knicks refuse to trade is Miles McBride. And the younger players seem to feel the same way.
Miles McBride recently interviewed Steve Popper on Newsday. When discussing his future with the New York Knicks, McBride made clear about his intentions.
He has no power to stop trade, but McBride wants to be with the Knicks forever, loves playing in New York and has a deep connection to his fanbase.
“I want to be Nick of life. I want to be Nick for life. I have no control over anything, so I’m going to come to work until they tell me they won’t.
“When your fanbase is behind you through the ups and downs – whatever it is, playing for MSG is great. It’s Mecca. I love the city. I love the fans. It’s hustle culture. I’m hustle. It’s perfect.”
During the interview, Mike Brown was also asked about his impressions of McBride. He praised his relentless work ethic and his elite athleticism.
“It’s true, Deuce is one of the most athletic people I’ve been to,” Brown said. “His power, strength, speed, it’s off the charts for guys of his size… That surprised me. But he fits well with what we want to do.”
McBride praised Mike Brown for his tactical and offensive approach and praised him for working perfectly for him.
“It’s always fun to go up and down. That’s what I want to do, make people play faster. Speed up people.
“For someone who plays as fast as I do and wants to have such a coach, he definitely wants me to accept it.
McBride is not an option for the Knicks to trade, so you’ll have to choose between Tyler Colek and Pacom Dadiette.
Financially, the Knicks will need to replace the Dadiet on top of the collect. However, the decision ultimately comes down to Leon Rose.
